Molecular Biology Research Associate, Level I or II;  Production Lab

ClaretBio, LLC, a subsidiary of EdenRoc Sciences, LLC develops molecular biology and DNA sequencing solutions that enable researchers around the world to get more insight into their clinical samples. Because we are a small company, everyone on our team plays more than one key role, wears multiple hats, and can make a significant contribution to our growth and success.

Late last year we launched our first DNA sequencing products. We are now looking for a skilled Research Associate to assist in the production of our sequencing kits, to support in administrative/eCommerce duties associated with our products, and to support product development efforts, when necessary. While this role will be heavily focused on the production aspect of our company, the successful candidate will be welcomed in ClaretBio’s ongoing R&D and collaborative efforts. This role has the opportunity to be involved in weekly lab meetings, as we openly share thoughts to drive progress forward.


This position is ideal for someone who has hands-on molecular biology experience, enjoys a variety of work and thrives at multitasking, as well as working within a small, tight-knit team. It requires an individual who is highly detail-oriented and organized, self-motivated, authentic, and self-aware.   • Learn ClaretBio library preparation technologies sufficiently in order to communicate effectively, professionally and comfortably to customers/peers/management.
  • Build product reagents, assemble/package finished products, and assist in inventory maintenance
  • Ensure the sales ordering and eCommerce process is completed, from customer entry to quotes to invoices
  • Maintain documentation including manufacturing batch records, SOPs, and updates to existing documents as processes change.
  • Perform quality checks on products according to SOPs and quality management processes.


  • University degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
  • A foundation in or ability to quickly learn foundational Molecular Biology and/or NGS sequencing
  • Meticulous pipetting techniques and good lab practices
    •  clean room, automation, or QA/QC experience a plus
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • A demonstrated ability to be an effective collaborator within a team
  • Approaches tasks with urgency and ownership. Willingness and dedication to planning, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills are necessary


Other helpful experience, if you have it:

  • Experience in high-throughput sequencing library preparation
  • Development of molecular biology assays
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and/or Intacct is a plus


Position start timing: No later than the January 1, 2021. Preference will be given to applicants who are available sooner, or flexible on start time, e.g. willing to consider a part time (contract) arrangement beginning November, with full time work initiated on in the new year
